Upcoming Events

We have some great events that are coming up pretty soon, so we’ve been really busy getting everything ready. Some of you may have received phone calls inviting you to attend our Annual General Meeting on June 12th, and if you follow us on Facebook or Twitter you have probably already seen some of the posters and information that is going out.

June 3, 2015

Our very own executive director, Donna Durand, will be giving a presentation at the Stanley Milner library in downtown Edmonton. This takes place in honor of Seniors’ Week, and is part of a series of Lunch and Learn topics organized by the Edmonton Social Planning Council. Donna will be giving a presentation on how a community can address the needs of its seniors. It looks like it will be a good time, so if you can make it feel free to show up. This is a free event, and we would love to see some friendly faces in the crowd.

Jung-Suk Ryu, Public Affairs Director at CNIB will be the guest speaker at our Annual General Meeting, plus we will be having a series of panels on the subject of Removing Barriers to Aging Well. Remember, if you’re a current member of ACA you have voting privileges so this is the meeting you want to be there for in order to exercise that right to vote. There will also be some door prizes, a free lunch, and an open floor to voice your own thoughts and opinions. If you plan on attending please let us know so we can make sure there is enough food there for everyone. You can RSVP by telephone at 780.423.7781 or by e-mail at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
