I feel we are viewed as being less than, as diminishing in ability and skill, when in fact we have a lot of experience with age- we demonstrate this on a daily basis. Age plus experience is a unique commodity. Older adults may be less hesitant to share bad experiences or personal mistakes therefore of great value to each other and younger people when demonstrating empathy and problem solving. There is an age related stigma in this society. We must not hold on to this as if it is a reality. We must stand up and be who we really are.
