On this the 30th Anniversary of Seniors’ Week, I would like to draw special attention to all seniors in the province of Alberta.

Seniors make a difference in our communities daily. They mentor and care for family members (children, grand and great grandchildren). They are friends, and they are top volunteers. Seniors contribute by being involved and invested in their community and province.

This year I wish to say to the seniors of Alberta: you are the living history of this land. You are the storytellers and the sharers of life long tales of life. This year, I would wish that all the seniors of Alberta partake of the special events in your communities. This is your time; this is your special week. Enjoy and shine. You deserve nothing less.
